The American multinational Johnson & Johnson is considering enlarging the range of products it stores at the European distribution centre at Courcelles. This investment worth several million euros would create 160 new jobs.
Johnson & Johnson's European distribution centre has been operational since December 2006, and sends out medical instruments and diagnostic equipment from Courcelles direct to hospitals in Europe. The centre is also the group's source of supplies for the whole world. Between now and 2010, it will reach its full capacity, dealing with over 3,500 orders an hour. The company would now like to strengthen its Courcelles "shelf space" with several million euros' worth of investment.
