2010: only the Wallonia economy is expected to grow in 2010
A study by the Federal Planning Bureau and regional statistical institutions indicates that in 2009 the economic recession will be marked by a drop in economic activity of 3.8% in Wallonia and Brussels and 3.9% in Flanders.

BAXTER continues to invest in Belgium
Jo Benoit joined Baxter in October 2008 and has been in charge of the group’s Belgo-Luxembourg division based in Deerfield, on the outskirts of Chicago, since 1 April. The new Belgian boss’s main focus is on raising awareness of the diversity of the group’s activities.
