Mikros image, the French digital post-production group and visual effects specialist, is setting up in Belgium at the heart of the PIL (Pôle Image de Liège = "Liège Image Pole") via its subsidiary, WFX.
2009 marks an essential turning point in the European development of the post-production and visual effects studio. WFX, wholly-owned subsidiary of Mikros image, established in November 2008 and under the chairmanship of Maurice Prost, is responding to the requirements of Belgian, French and international productions.
WFX's intention is to provide Belgian producers very quickly with the complete range of services provided by Mikros image.
Whilst waiting for final premises to be completed in the heart of Liège, WFX will be setting up for a few months in ANS right next to the company COTOON. A team of five graphic designers is already in place to look after the initial projects. In a few months' time WFX will have about twenty graphic designers and a team of five managers.
With the creation of WFX, Mikros image is now "making movies in Wallonia".
